Ben Simmons has played a starring role in the Philadelphia 76ers’ 108-97 victory over LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
Simmons finished just shy of another triple-double as he racked up 18 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block from 32 minutes of court time.
The 76ers were also well served by Joel Embiid (17, 14, six) and JJ Redick who scored a team-high 22 points.
James was unsurprisingly the dominant force for Cleveland with a game-high 30 points, nine rebounds and eight assists but it wasn’t enough to secure the Cavs the win.
Philadelphia (33-27) are now in sixth spot in the Eastern Conference while Cleveland (36-25) are third.
