It's official.

Andrew Bogut will be a Cleveland Cavalier by the weekend.

The Aussie's agent says he plans to sign with the NBA Champions as soon as he clears waivers.

The 32 year old was traded at the deadline from Dallas to Philadelphia.

But a union with fellow Australian Ben Simmons wasn't to be with Bogut opting to have his contract bought out by the 76ers.

It frees the big man up to join a contender with several teams including Boston (as we previously reported) interested in his services.

The Celtics, Spurs and Rockets have already been told of Bogut's decision.

His move to the Cavs is expected to help LeBron James and co on the defensive side with rebounds and presence in the paint.

In a cheeky reference to the Cavs' colours, Bogut tweeted a link to the song "Red Red Wine" by UB40.
