Melbourne United’s talismanic star Chris Goulding was carried off RAC Arena with a knee injury in their clash with Perth Wildcats today.

Goulding was driving towards the basket late in the fourth quarter when he he pulled up clutching his left knee and had to be helped off.

The incident appeared relatively innocuous, with very little contact being made.

Goulding was having a good game, scoring 29 points, bringing down five rebounds and giving off four assists before the injury.

He even managed to pull off an assist as he was pulling away injured.

Melbourne United have tweeted that Goulding has a “jarred knee”.

Perth ended up winning an absolutely epic game 101-95 in the second period of overtime.
