Stephen Curry got his groove back to score 35 points as the Golden State Warriors made a second-half statement to crush the Houston Rockets 126-85 in the NBA playoffs.

Monday’s 41-point win at the Oracle Arena gave the defending NBA champions a 2-1 series lead in the western conference finals.

Curry came to life, as the hosts outscored the No.1-seeded Rockets by 30 points, after the long break and finished the game with five three-pointers.

He got going with 18 points on 7-for-7 shooting in the third quarter.

Kevin Durant added 25 points, six rebounds and six assists, Draymond Green grabbed 17 rebounds to go with 10 points and six assists and the Warriors' five starters all scored in double figures for the first time this post-season.

James Harden had 20 points and nine assists for the Rockets, while Chris Paul added 13 points and 10 rebounds as they combined to shoot just 12 for 32.

The Warriors won an NBA-record 16th consecutive home post-season game, surpassing the Chicago Bulls' mark of 15 that has stood since 1991.
