Australia’s Joe Ingles has played a key role in the Utah Jazz’s 113-104 victory over the Mavericks at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Sunday (US time).

Ingles registered 12 points (including 3-of-7 three-pointers), seven rebounds, five assists and a steal to help the Jazz improve their win-loss record to 4-2.

Rudy Gobert was the star for Utah with 23 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks while Donovan Mitchell (20 points) and Jae Crowder (15) were also handy.

Inlges’ countryman Dante Exum finished with six points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block from 16 minutes’ court time.

Dennis Smith Jr was the best for the Mavericks with 27 points and he was ably assisted by Wesley Matthews, who recorded 22 points and seven rebounds, and Deandre Jordan who fell one assist short of a triple-double as he helped himself to 12 points, 19 rebounds and nine dimes.

The Jazz, who are now fourth in the Western Conference, have won their last three games and head to Minnesota on Wednesday to face the Timberwolves (2-4).
