Australian basketball star Joe Ingles has told Triple M’s Rush Hour that he is “very, very lucky” to find himself as a key member of the NBA’s Utah Jazz line-up.

Ingles has become one of the game’s best three-point shooters, finishing the 2017-18 regular season with the equal-fourth best percentage from beyond the arc, alongside Golden State superstar Klay Thompson, at 44 percent.

The 30-year-old also became the first player in Jazz history to hit 200 three-pointers in a season and Ingles cannot thank the franchise enough for showing faith in him.

“I’m lucky to be with a great organisation that lets me play and lets me be me,” Ingles told JB and Billy on Friday.

“I started four years ago now, I’ve signed three contracts with them and each one has been bumped up a little bit more. I’m just really happy.

“The organisation is unbelievable ... it’s hard to find that, it’s hard to find good teammates and a really good situation and I’m very, very lucky to be in that.

“We’ve got three more years there.”

Ingles starred for the Jazz during their Western Conference first-round series win against a star-studded Oklahoma City Thunder side that featured Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.

Utah’s playoffs run came to an end when they lost to the Houston Rockets 4-1 in the conference semi-finals.
