The Minnesota Timberwolves have won an absolute thriller in dramatic circumstances against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA on Sunday (local time).
Things were looking bad for Minnesota when Carmelo Anthony sunk a clutch go-ahead three-pointer to give the Thunder a 113-112 lead with 4.7 seconds left in the contest.
Compounding things for the Timberwolves was the fact that they had run out of timeouts.
Enter Andrew Wiggins.
The former No.1 draft pick found himself on the end of a panicked inbound pass, cruised just past half-court before pulling the trigger and sinking an incredible buzzer-beating long-range three-pointer to hand the Wolves a stunning 115-113 victory.
The result saw Minnesota improve their record to 2-1 while the Thunder are now 1-2 after three games.
