Australian point guard Patty Mills has played a starring role in the San Antonio Spurs’ 97-91 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA on Wednesday.

In 30 minutes of court time, Mills scored his season-high 19 points on a 7-13 clip from the field and had a game-high four steals in the all-Texas showdown at the Mavericks’ home court.

The 2014 championship winner had the legendary Dirk Nowitzki bamboozled in this particular play.

Only star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (32) scored more for the Spurs than Mills while veteran Manu Ginobili chimed in with 13 points from just 16 minutes’ court time.

Dennis Smith Jr was Dallas’ best with 27 points and six rebounds and he was ably assisted by Harrison Barnes (16 and eight) and JJ Barea (16 and six).

San Antonio (9-5) are now ranked third in the Western Conference while the Mavericks (2-13) are rock bottom.
