Australia's new NBA star is taking the league by storm.

Ben Simmons has just recorded his first career NBA triple-double in only his FOURTH game, becoming the first person to do so since 1967.

He also biomes the first Australian to record an NBA triple-double and the third Philadelphia 76er to record a triple-double in their rookie year in the history of the franchise.

For those playing at home, a triple double is when a player records double digit stats in three seperate stat columns.

In todays match vs. the Detroit Pistons, Simmons lit up the scoreboard, recording a HUGE 21 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to help the 76ers record their first win of the season.

After being selected by the Sixers as the number one draft pick in last year's draft, Simmons sat out his rookie year with persistent foot injuries, but he has taken like a duck to water when finally given his chance to shine in the world's best basketball league.

Incredibly, the Melbourne-born high-flyer almost achieved this feat in his opening game when he recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists against Washington.

In fact Simmons became only the fourth player in NBA history to record at-least a double-double in his four games, and the first since Shaquille O'Neil.

Take a bow, Ben.
