Fresh from the 3-0 test whitewash, Australia has just named its squad to take on Pakistan in the upcoming five match ODI series.

Big Bash smasher Chris Lynn, Queensland quick Billy Stanlake and Test bat Usman Khawaja all come into the squad, while opening bat Aaron Finch, middle order linchpin George Bailey and uncapped all-rounder Hilton Cartwright all make way.

Neither Mitch Starc or Josh Hazlewood will be rested despite playing six tests already this summer, while bolter Stanlake has been called in to provide fast bowling cover.

Spin duties will be handled by Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell and/or Travis Head’s part timers.

Meanwhile, George Bailey’s international career may well be over after his exclusion.

The 34-year-old has played 90 ODIs for Australia and captained the side 29 times.

He has scored three centuries and 22 50s at an average of 40.58 and a strike rate of 83.51 in that time, with a high score of 156.

The full squad:

Steve Smith (c), David Warner (vc), Pat Cummins, James Faulkner, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Chris Lynn, Mitch Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Billy Stanlake, Mitch Starc, Matthew Wade, Adam Zampa.
