Ben Stokes will face court on an affray charge on the 13th of February — the same day he’s supposed to be representing England in a T20 match against New Zealand in Wellington.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that Stokes is due at Bristol Magistrate’s Court to face the charge stemming from an incident outside a nightclub in September.

Stokes had been suspended from playing for England since the incident, but was made available for selection after the charge was confirmed.

He was since selected to play in the T20 tri-series against Australia and NZ.

Stokes won’t be able to push the court date back.

He has not played any cricket since his last game for Canterbury on December 22 last year.
