With an Ashes summer rapidly approaching, Cricket Australia has put out a rallying cry to fans around the country to get behind their Australian women’s and men’s cricket teams under the banner #BeatEngland.

"The #BeatEngland campaign is built upon a simple truth – nothing brings Australia together like the prospect of seeing our cricketers beat the old enemy on home soil, and this summer fans will have plenty of opportunities to show their passion and throw their support behind our women’s and men’s teams in the pursuit of victory," Cricket Australia said in a statement.

The cricketing public can get involved with the #BeatEngland campaign at match – by wearing the slogan on their shirts, hats or banners, or by leading a chant to rival the best of the Barmy Army – or across social media by using the hashtag.

People will have a chance to be winners just by showing their support this cricket season, with the fan who shares the best message using #BeatEngland set to win a trip for two to a UK Ashes Test match in 2019.
