Australian vice-captain David Warner has been caught on CCTV in a confrontation with South African wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock late on the fourth day of the first Test in Durban.

The two teams were coming in to the pavilion at the break when the stoush broke out, with Warner having to be held back by Usman Khawaja and Tim Paine from directly confronting de Kock.

The incident adds further spice to an already spiteful match, with Warner and Nathan Lyon coming under fire for their reactions after running out AB de Villiers early on.

Warner gave SA opener Aiden Markram a heavy spray, while Lyon dropped the ball on de Villiers although there were question marks on how much malice was involved.

ICC Match match referee Jeff Crowe was already likely to talk to Warner and Lyon.

The Aussies are set to wrap up the Test this evening — they just need one wicket to win, with South Africa needing 124 more runs.
