Banned Aussie opener David Warner made his return to cricket on Australian soil yesterday, turning out for Randwick-Petersham in the NSW premier cricket league at Coogee Oval.

Warner had no worries with the St George attack — led by Test players Josh Hazlewood and Trent Copeland — making 155* and guiding Randwick-Petersham past their target of 277 with an over to spare.

When Warner got there, he busted out his customary celebration.

Steve Smith also made his return to Australian cricket for Sutherland, making 85 against Mosman at Glenn McGrath Oval.

Smith’s presence couldn’t get Sutherland over the line though, as Mosman chased down their 238 with four balls to spare.
