David Warner’s tumultuous tour of South Africa has gotten more dramatic, with the South Africans accusing him of cheating according to The Australian.

Reports suggest that the South African batsmen have complained to umpires about tape on Warner’s left hand on the second day of the second Test in Port Elizabeth.

Warner had heavy strapping on his left thumb and palm, which the the South Africans are alleging aids Warner in tampering with the condition of the ball.

Warner copped three demerit points and was fined 75% of his match fee for an altercation with Quinton de Kock in the first Test, while Nathan Lyon was fined 15% of his match fee for dropping the ball on AB de Villiers after running him out.

Cricket South Africa officials Clive Ekstee and Altaaf Kazi were caught up in the Warner/de Kock stoush when they were pictured standing with fans wearing Sonny Bill Williams masks in an effort to rile Warner.

South African quick Kagiso Rabada is facing being suspended for the rest of the series after his exuberant send off to Aussie captain Steve Smith on day one of this Test.

His previous history has exacerbated his potential punishment.

Meanwhile, an actual game of cricket is going on, with South Africa 7/263 in reply to Australia’s 243 on stumps at day two.
