England have made an official complaint to match referee Richie Richardson about the use of the Decision Review System at the WACA, according to the Mirror in the UK.

They are understood to have complained about the dismissal of Mark Stoneman on the first day, with the England camp of the belief that third umpire Aleem Dar made the decision without using all available evidence.

Captain Joe Root when the decision was announced, reportedly feeling that Dar made the decision too quickly.

The complaint is centred around the process of the review rather than the decision itself.
