England batsman Ben Duckett has been suspended from England's tour match against the Cricket Australia XI after pouring a drink on Jimmy Anderson.

The England side were drinking in the same bar in Perth where Jonny Bairstow headbutted Cameron Bancroft when Duckett dumped his drink over Anderson.

The incident was apparently more like banter rather than anything serious and was quickly ended by the team security.

Coach Trevor Bayliss is still angry about the incident, coming as it did after Ben Stokes wasn't taken to Australia after brawling with two men at a pub in Bristol and Bairstow's headbutt incident.

“It’s trivial, but in the current climate not acceptable,” Bayliss said.

"Everyone has been warned that even small things can be blown out of all proportion.

"They can’t keep making the same mistakes.

“The ECB have also been quite strict with the boys with their message.

"Most of the guys are fine but somewhere along the line some of them have to pull their heads in.”

Duckett, who has played four Tests with a batting average of 15.71, was set to play the tour game in Perth but was stood down.
