England’s Moeen Ali and Steven Finn have both been ruled out of the first Ashes tour match after suffering injuries in the team’s net session at the WACA.

Ali couldn’t get out on the training pitch due to a side injury, while Finn copped a knock to his while batting.

Both players will have scans in Perth tomorrow.

Finn is likely to be mostly a bit part player, but Moeen is extremely important to England.

He has played 44 tests for a return of 128 wickets and an average of 34.66 with the bat including five tons and 12 fifties.

Triple M will be calling every ball of the Ashes series — tune in from November 23!
