Big hitting Victorian batsman Glenn Maxwell has been picked for today’s fifth and final ODI against England at Perth’s new Optus Stadium.

Steve Smith announced the news at the toss, which he won and elected to bowl.

The pitch has some green covering and cracks already.

Maxwell has been picked to replace Victorian team mate Cameron White.

He will bat at six, with Marcus Stoinis going up the order to three.

Mitchell Starc has also come back in to the side in place of Pat Cummins, who suffered a slight hamstring twinge in Adelaide.

Chris Woakes and Mark Wood have been replaced by David Willey and Jake Ball in the England side.
