Big hitting Victorian batsman Glenn Maxwell is set for a recall to the One Day International squad, according to Fox Sports’ Tom Morris.

Opener Aaron Finch has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury, and Maxwell is set to take his place in the squad for tomorrow's match at Adelaide Oval.

Finch is the top scorer in the series after the first three matches, with 275 runs at the top of the order at an average of 91.66.

Maxwell was dumped from the Test side at the start of the summer despite good shield form, and was overlooked for the ODI side in favour of Marcus Stoinis and Mitch Marsh.

He has also been in strong form in the Big Bash, despite Melbourne Stars’ poor results — he has 299 runs at an average of 37.37 and three fifties.

Maxwell is favoured to be 12th man rather than a starter, however.

His inclusion in the squad means he will not be available for the Stars in their final BBL game against the Hobart Hurricanes on Saturday.

Australia have already lost the series, with England taking an unassailable 3-0 lead after three matches.
