Is This One Of The Most One-Sided Cricket Scorecards Ever?

A few cricket players in Wellington are having a bloody tough time of it.

New Zealand's first class competition has started in the worst possible way for the Auckland Aces, crashing to 62 all out in the first day of their first game of the season.

Despite a reasonable side, with New Zealand opener Jeet Raval opening the batting, they crashed to a miserable 7/12 after being sent in, with Wellington quick Ollie Newton having figures of 3/0 at one point.

The tail wagged to get them up to 62, but things hardly got any better after that.

Wellington, in response, made the green deck look like a freeway, piling on 3/531 before they declared.

It could have been way, way worse: Wellington's opening stand was a whopping 432.

Yep: the scorecard read 0/432 in response to 62 all out before the first wicket fell.

Luke Woodcock was the man who went out for 151, but opening partner Michael Papps continued the carnage.

He notched up a lazy triple century, ending the innings 316 not out when the declaration was made. 

And this is first-class cricket, our equivalent of the Sheffield Shield.

Auckland have 1/73 in their second dig at the end of day two, which is better...but there's still a long, long, long way to go to save this one.
