Unbelievable

Monday really was a night of sporting shocks; around the same time that Novak Djokovic crashed out of the Australian open in straight sets, two Adelaide Strikers managed to turn what should have been a six into arguably the greatest catch in cricketing history.

Ben Laughlin and Jake Weatherald's tag-team catching left the crowd and commentators speechless during the Strikers' match against Melbourne Renegades at Etihad Stadium.

As Dwayne Bravo smacked a Rashid Khan delivery, he probably - and understandably - thought he had got enough on his shot.

But Laughlin managed to take the catch as he sprinted towards the boundary rope and, as he realised he wasn't going to stop in time, threw the ball back in-field about 30 metres.

And there was Jake Weatharald, who covered an insane amount of ground and completed what's already been labelled the "greatest outfield catch ever".
