James Pattinson has continued his searing form over to England, starring on debut for Nottinghamshire.

His side was reeling at 7/167 in the first innings, in response to Leicestershire's 251 all out.

Until Pattinson came into bat.

Pattinson put on a crucial 122-run partnership with Stuart Broad, easily the biggest partnership of the match, to see Nottinghamshire into a first innings lead.

Broad was later dismissed for 52, but the action didn't stop there.

Pattinson kept crunching boundaries, eventually running out of partners and being stranded on 89 not out.

His big knock came off 108 balls, and included 14 fours - one a reverse sweep - and two sixes.

It means the Victorian has now scored 333 runs at an average of 47.57 since returning to first class cricket.

But he wasn't done there.

Leicestershire went into bat once again, where Pattinson snared two crucial top order wickets.

He finished the day with 2/21 off eight overs, following an impressive 3/55 in the first innings.

Fair effort!
