Jason Roy made mince meat of the Australian attack at the MCG last night, belting 180 off 151 balls.

It broke plenty of records, becoming the highest ODI score by an Englishman, the highest ODI score at the MCG, the second highest ever ODI score against Australia amongst others.

He also managed to outstrip his entire aggregate run count for his Big Bash career.

Roy has made 172 in the Big Bash, with a highest score of 40.

It’s taken him 13 hits to get there at an average of 14.33 per knock.

This season he’s made 62 from his six innings at an average of 10.33.

The Sydney Sixers must be scratching their heads wondering where last night's form was when he was wearing the pink shirt.
