England may have been hit by their biggest injury concern yet, with wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow helped off the field.

Bairstow, who was keeping for England in a tour game, hurt his finger keeping to Chris Woakes.

He was helped off the field with concern over his middle finger on his left hand, with back-up keeper Ben Foakes rushing onto the field.

England believe the finger is only bruised.

Bairstow has become England's clear number one choice behind the stumps over the last two years, impressing with both the gloves and the bat, cementing a spot in England's middle order.

Since taking over the gloves in late 2015, Bairstow has scored 2,022 runs from 26 matches at an average of 49.31.

Only South African Quinton de Kock (1,290 at 47.77) has topped 1,000 runs with the gloves in that time period, with Australia's two keepers in Peter Nevill (325 at 21.66) and Matthew Wade (263 at 20.23) not near the top.
