Triple M's Mark Waugh took the opportunity during a rain delay at the Gabba to catch up with Mark Howard.

Over the course of 128 Tests for the country, 'Junior' reflected on an impressive career with the bat.

Listen to the chat here:

Towards the end of the chat, Howie asked some more pressing questions to try and get some quick answers from Waugh.

"Best bowler you’ve ever faced?" Howard asked.

"That’s a tough one. I’d sort of bracket (Malcolm) Marshall, (Wasim) Akram, (CurtlyAmbrose and Muttiah Muralitharan there," Waugh answered.

"Best batsman you’ve seen play?"

"I’ll go (Sachin) Tendulkar, (Brian Lara), (RickyPonting… Those sort of guys."

"If the telly’s on now, who’s the one player in world cricket that you like watching?"

"I like watching a lot of ours boys when they’re in full flow. Obviously (Dave) Warner and (SteveSmith - (Usman) Khawaja is very nice to the eye. Kane Richardson’s a good player - very good player. Virat Kohli when he’s going - those guys.

"What will the final result be when the series wraps up in Sydney?"

"I’m thinking Australia - I’m hoping sort of 4-1, that sort of scoreline," Waugh finished.
