Aussie Test legend Mitch Johnson has announced that he’s retiring from all forms of cricket.

Writing for Perth Now, Johnson said that his body is no longer up to the rigours of cricket at any level.

“I had hoped to continue playing in various Twenty20 competitions around the world until perhaps the middle of next year. But the fact is my body is starting to shut down,” he wrote.

“During this year’s Indian Premier League tournament I had a few back problems and that was probably a sign that it was time to move on.”

Johnson also said he is “mentally done as well” and wants to move on from cricket.

This news is as good as any time to relive the time Mitchy feasted on the hapless Poms in 2013/14.
