Cricket NSW chief executive Andrew Jones has been reprimanded and copped a suspended fine after comments on Twitter following Victoria's contentious JLT Cup win over New South Wales.

Victoria won the match on Sunday, but it came after the game was abandoned due to an unsafe pitch.

The Bushrangers were 26 overs into their chase of the Blues' 144 all out when the match was called off.

It prompted Jones to post some comments on Twitter, saying the pitch was either safe or unsafe for both teams and that the game should be a no result.

"(Bushrangers) well ahead in the game but it should have been played to a conclusion," he wrote.

"The drop in wicket was up and down all day."

The win has helped Victoria progress to today's elimination final against South Wales.

"It should be a No Result. Conditions didn't change all game so if it was dangerous for one side it was dangerous for the other," Jones wrote, also calling for officials to "be fired immediately".
