Pakistan has been comprehensively embarrassed by New Zealand in today’s ODI in Dunedin.

Chasing 258, Pakistan got rolled for 74, their equal third lowest score of all time in one day international cricket.

Trent Boult did the initial damage, reducing Pakistan to 3/2 inside four overs.

A run out and wickets to Lachie Ferguson and Colin Munro saw Pakistan collapse further to 6/16 within 15 overs, before they rallied and lost their last four wickets for 58.

The score is also the second lowest ever made against New Zealand.

Boult was awarded man of the match honours, finishing the innings with 5/17 off 7.2 overs.

It was a batting display of stunning ineptitude from Pakistan after they’d earlier given themselves a chance with the ball thanks to the Kiwis batting itself collapsing.

NZ were 3/209 at one stage before losing 7/48 on their way to 257 all out, with captain Kane Williamson’s innings of 73 off 101 the highest of the match.

The 183 run win gives New Zealand an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five match ODI series.
