NSW wicketkeeper Peter Nevill has responded to being dropped from the Australian Test side in brilliant fashion, peeling off another Sheffield Shield ton against Queensland at the SCG today.

The 31-year-old brought up his ton slogging Jason Floros to long on for four.

It’s Nevill’s third ton in four Sheffield Shield matches, sending a stark message to the selectors who currently prefer Victorian gloveman Matthew Wade.

Nevill has since moved 133 not out off 280 balls in the 150th over, having hit 16 fours.

He shared a monster stand with captain Moises Henriques, who racked up a monster score of his own — 265 off 327 balls, with 28 fours and five sixes.

Together Henriques and Nevill put on 391 for the fifth wicket, taking the Blues from 4/197 to 5/588.
