Channel Nine will televise some of the women’s Ashes series matches on their main channel after the success of the telecast of last week’s match in Brisbane.

Nine showed the first two games of the series on 9GEM, with Australia’s win over England at the Gabba last weekend getting a national average of 122,531 viewers.

The figures were good enough for Nine to bump up this Sunday’s game at Coffs Harbour to their main channel.

The game starts at 10:15am AEDT.

Nine will also televise the second T20 game at Manuka Oval in Canberra on their main channel as well, and hinted that more matches may be promoted.

“It’s awesome,” Australia captain Rachael Haynes said.

“To have this whole series covered in that way is great to be part of as a player.”
