Australia has lost the third Ashes ODI to England by 20 runs at Coffs International Stadium.

England set up the win with a commanding batting performance, getting to 8/284 off their 50 overs.

Tammy Beaumont, Sarah Taylor and Heather Knight all went across 50, with Knight top scoring with 88 off 80.

Megan Schutt was the Aussie’s best bowler, taking 4/44 off her 10 overs.

The target was revised to 278 off 48 overs after rain delays, and the Aussies got off to a flyer.

Alyssa Healy flew to 71 off 72, while fellow opener Nicole Bolton made 62 off 80.

After that it all fell apart for the Aussies, with a disciplined bowling display from the Poms keeping them in check.

Alex Blackwell battled to 37, but no one else could make meaningful contributions and the Aussies finished on 9/257 off their 48.

Alex Hartley was the chief destroyer for England, taking 3/45 off her nine overs.

The result means Australia leads England four points to two after three matches, with 10 more points on offer.

The ODIs are worth two points each, as are the three T20s to be played.

The Test match is worth four points (or two each in the case of a draw).

The next match in the series is the Test, which begins at North Sydney Oval at 2:30pm on the 9th of November.
