The Big Bash has been a success again this season, crossing the million fan attendance mark in last night’s Brisbane Heat v Hobart Hurricanes.

When that fan came through the gates last night, she was greeted by Heat batsman Joe Burns and some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

They then celebrated the milestone by pouring some Nickelodeon-esque slime on her.

On their website, the BBL said that the “celebrations at match for the one millionth fan reflect the fun and excitement that has attracted fans of all ages to the KFC BBL again this season”.

The family of the girl who got slimed also received a Big Bash golden ticket, allowed them tickets to any match of their choosing next season.

Last night’s crowd of 34,542 at the Gabba means a total of 1,013,761 have come through the gates in BBL games this season.
