New Zealand have done an unbelievable demolition job on England in the first Test at Eden Park in Auckland, rolling them for just 58.

Trent Boult and Tim Southee did the damage for the Kiwis, bowling unchanged and destroying the Poms.

Boult finished with 6/32 and Southee 4/25, with England all out in 94 minutes and 20.4 overs.

The wickets fell thick and fast for England; at one stage they were 9/27 and looked a certainty to be all out for their lowest ever score, 45 scored against Australia at the SCG in 1887.

However Craig Overton saved the Poms from that humiliation, smacking 33 off 25 with five fours and a six.

Mark Stoneman was the only other batsman to pass double figures, making 11.

Overton and Jimmy Anderson (1*) put on 31 for the 10th wicket — more than all of the other partnerships put together.

The score is England’s sixth lowest of all time, slotting between 53 against Australia at Lord’s in 1888 and two scores of 61 against Australia at the MCG, in 1901/02 and 1903/04.
