India skipper Virat Kohli had a Test to forget in their 333 run loss to Australia that finished in Pune yesterday.

He chased at a wide one for a second ball duck in the first innings and was bowled trying to leave a Steve O’Keefe arm ball in the second when on 13.

He also was visibly frustrated when his team dropped easy chances and cooked their DRS referrals when they were in the field.

His mood didn’t improve in the post-match press conference when he refused to give Australia credit for their win, saying that India were at fault for the loss.

"If you don't apply yourself, any bowling attack can look dangerous," Kohli said, a reference to Steve O’Keefe.

"It's as simple as that. Even a part-timer can get four wickets if you don't apply yourself.

"How badly we batted in the first innings is the main reason we couldn't get back into the game.

"We put ourselves under a lot of pressure."

Bit rough considering Steve O’Keefe took 12/70 for the match — that can’t be a fluke.

The next Test against India starts on Saturday in Bengaluru.
