Some Madman Has Just Dumped $170,000 On Winx To Win The Turnbull Stakes

Someone's got a nervous few hours ahead of them.
That's because they've dumped $170,000 on Winx to win the Turnbull Stakes today.
They've plonked the cash on at odds of 1.16, according to TAB, leaving them set to collect a lazy $27,200 if the champion horse can get up.
TAB also says two more bets of $60,000 and $30,000 have been placed on Winx to make it 28 in a row at Flemington.
“Our customers haven’t waited around this time to have a crack at the great mare,” TAB’s Andrew Georgiou told News Corp.
“We didn’t see this level of activity on her until a lot closer to race time in the George Main but it seems as though no one wants to wait that long today.”
Winx's odds have been backed into 1.14, with Kings Will Dream and Grunt the next most favoured chances.
