Land Of The Rising Bull?

Red Bull have been rising of late.

With just a handful of races to go in the 2017 season, the Bulls have found their sweet spot and Daniel Ricciardo wants more of the spoils.

Last weekend it was Max Verstappen who took out the final ever race to be held in Malaysia.

This weekend, the Perth product wants to turn the tables, even if he did kinda get Max back with the above selfie on the flight to Tokyo.

With the team declaring it's now got the best chassis on the Formula 1 grid, expect the Aussie to put everything on the table in Japan.

This debrief video proves #3 means business.

It helps that he's a big fan of the venue which he calls a tough, but rewarding circuit.

"I have always loved Suzuka circuit, it’s tough for a driver and a proper racer’s track," he said.

“The whole first sector is great fun and there is so much time to be gained there with the right set-up."

"Saying that, I think the last chicane is the most difficult corner on the track because you have to brake from such high speeds and really attack the car on the kerbs.”

Incredibly the Red Bull charger's never stood on the podium in Japan before, something he'll be looking to change come Sunday.

The Japanese fans are "pretty special" too according to Daniel, often greeting the drivers in costumes you don't see anywhere else.

“I can’t talk about Japan without mentioning the fans, we always get awesome gifts and you can see them in the grandstands dressed up in fully branded race suits and helmets which is pretty special to see.”

As for the Championship, momentum appears to be with Lewis Hamilton who leads Sebastian Vettel in the drivers standings by 34 points with five races remaining.

Between races, Hamilton took to the golf course with NBA star Steph Curry to blow off some steam.

Clearly Lewis' F1 helmet isn't his lucky charm!
