This year’s Formula 1 Grand Prix in Malaysia will be the last to be held in the country after a decision jointly taken by Formula 1 and Sepang International Circuit.
“It’s always sad to say goodbye to a member of the Formula 1 family,” Sean Bratches, Managing Director of Commercial Operations for Formula 1 said on the F1 website.
“Over nearly two decades, the Malaysian Formula 1 fans have proven themselves to be some of the sport’s most passionate supporters.”
Malaysia joined the F1 circuit in 1999.
The last edition of the Malaysia F1 GP will take place on the weekend of 29 September - 1 October.
