Just Don't Call It A Comeback

He's been gone barely 6 months and already the Brit is back.

The temporarily un-retired Jenson Button jumps back into a McLaren for this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

He'll keep the seat warm for Fernando Alonso, while the Spanish star tries his hand at the Indy 500.

But don't get used to it.

Jenson stresses his drive at Monte Carlo will probably he his last.

"It's a one-off race where I'm going to have fun," he told Sky F1.

"Abu Dhabi was the end of my F1 career, really. It was a very emotional and special weekend. Monaco is very different, it's a one-off."

"I don't want to be racing in F1 for a whole season because I've done my time in F1."

Fitness won't be an issue for the 37 year old, who's devoted himself to triathlon competitions and lots of hours in the McLaren simulator.

"Although I haven't turned a wheel on track yet in the MCL32, I feel well prepared," he said.

"I know the track well, of course, and I've done quite a bit of work in the McLaren simulator already.

"I'm still fit, and I've been training probably more than ever, because I've had the time to focus on my triathlon preparation and competitions."

And living in Monaco, Button won't have to travel too far either!

Practice for the Monaco Grand Prix begins on the streets of Monte Carlo on Friday.
