The wraps have come off Daniel Ricciardo's new weapon he hopes will finally turn the tide against Mercedes and Ferrari in Formula 1 this season.
And there's nothing like making an impression.
That's exactly what Perth's finest did, setting the quickest time as pre-season testing began in Barcelona, Spain.
Ricciardo was the only driver to complete more than 100 laps, beating Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.
Fernando Alonso spun out in the opening laps when a tyre came off but later returned to the track to set the 5th fastest time for McLaren before being disqualified.
Alonso wasn't fussed, hailing the "huge potential" of the new Renault-powered McLaren which easily beat last year's best time of the all the tests when the team was chugging along with Honda.
Overall the cars look to be much faster than last season, even with the "halo" fitted above the driver adding some considerable weight.
Ricciardo's times were up to 1.6 seconds faster than Lewis Hamilton's best time set on the opening day of the test a year ago.
