New Bulldogs recruit Aaron Woods enjoyed his festive break but is now itching to get back into the grind of the NRL.
Woods joined his new teammates for the first time earlier this week and is excited to be at Belmore.
"There was a lot of stuff happening last year so I can't wait to play some footy and work hard with the boys," Woods told Bulldogs TV.
"We've got a really good fan base at Canterbury, since I signed I've met a lot of Canterbury supporters that I didn't know were supporters, especially where I live.
"It's a massive fanbase that we have, so hopefully we can play some really good footy for them and get our season off to a high with a win."
Woods is set to return to full training next week after recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in Australia's Rugby League World Cup triumph.
"I should be back to full training next week," he added.
"It's going really well, the body got a good rest and it's really exciting to come into a new start."
