South Sydney Rabbitoh Angus Crichton has decided to amputate his middle finger in a daring bid to make sure he is 100% fit for the start of the NRL season.

According to foxsports.com.authe 2019 Sydney Roosters recruit had the middle finger on his left hand chopped off earlier this week.

Constantly plagued by the injury since rupturing the tendon during his time in Holden Cup, Crichton made the bold decision to amputate (just below the middle knuckle) after signing his three-year deal with the Roosters.

The 21-year-old will join his Rabbitohs teammates for pre-season training in the new year.
