South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed that this will be Angus Crichton's final season with the team.

In a statement posted to their website, Souths revealed that he had turned down a three-year contract to sign with another team for 2019 and beyond.

Foxsports.com.au have since confirmed that Crichton will be moving on to play with the Roosters after seeing out the 2018 season with the Rabbitohs.

It ends months of speculation and battle between a several clubs - including Cronulla - for the 21-year-old's signature.

Fox Sports also report that Crichton travelled to Coffs Harbour to personally inform owner Russell Crowe of his decision before telling the rest of his teammates.
