The Bulldogs have today announced former Premiership player Andrew Farrar as the new General Manager of Football. 

Farrar who also represented NSW and Australia is excited for the challenge ahead. 

"I have a great affinity for the Bulldogs and have greatly enjoyed my association with them as a player and Board Member, Farrar said. 

"It is a tremendous honour to be asked to take on the role of General Manager of Football and I look forward to working with new Head Coach Dean Pay and a talented group of players."

In a statement, Bulldogs Chairman Ray Dib spoke of his delight to have another former Bulldog back at the club.

"Andrew has a tremendous pedigree in the game of Rugby League, having performed at the highest level as a player, coach and team manager," Dib said.

"He has a great affinity with the Bulldogs, having played in three Premierships and knows the culture of the club inside out."

"We are delighted that he will be able to bring all his football knowledge and experience to the role of General Manager of Football."
