It appears as though the fate of the NRL Footy Show is sealed, with Darryl 'The Big Marn' Brohman confirming that he will not be returning in 2018.

As it stands, Brohman was off-contract with Nine at the end of this year.

Paul 'Fatty' Vautin still has one year remaining on his deal with Nine, and it has been confirmed that he is still contracted despite the Footy Show shake-up.

It's been tipped that Erin Molan will host the new NRL show, with talk that Beau Ryan also has two years on his deal with Nine, so he may also be a feature of the new set-up.

Earlier today, it was reported that the NRL Footy Show had been axed after over 20 years on air.

The model of the show is set to change, with it apparent that several of the veterans on the program will be moved on.
