Not only do the Parramatta Eels have the unwanted tag of holding the longest premiership drought, that in 2018 will head into its 32nd year but the Eels also have the record for the longest finals winning drought of any side in the NRL.

Bowing out in straight sets, falling to the Storm and Cowboys in this year's finals series, the Eels have not won a finals match since they defeated the Bulldogs in the 2009 Grand Final Qualifier.

Even the Knights, who have finished with the wooden spoon the past three seasons, managed to win a finals game before the Eels.

A season of what could of been ended in disappointment, as the Eels bowed out of the 2017 finals series in straight sets, falling to the Storm and Cowboys after securing their first finals appearance since their mesmerising run to the Grand Final in 2009.
