Bellamy Is Set To One-Up Bennett In This Ripper Milestone

Supercoach!

Craig Bellamy will go down as one of the game's greatest coaches, and only for Wayne Bennett being of the same era, we'd be hyping up his prowess a hell of a lot more.

However, it appears that Bellyache will step out of Bennett's shadow (if he was ever really in it), with the 57-year-old set to achieve a massive milestone this weekend.

If the Storm win their clash with the Tigers, Bellamy will take out the title of the fastest coach to crack 250 wins.

It'll have only taken him 372 games to do so, which is pretty bloody good.

And the current record holder? None other than Bennett, who took 373 games, according to dailytelegraph.com.au.

There's also a bit of irony in the scenario, with Bellamy initially turning down a coaching gig at the Tigers in 2002 and instead deciding to go to Melbourne at the 11th hour.

And like poetry from the footy gods, it's the Tigers who need to lose for Bellamy to topple Bennett.
