While the Broncos are celebrating a round one win against the reigning premiers, Ben Hunt has attracted some critics after a few drops during the game.
One of the biggest names to come out swinging is rugby league legend Tommy Raudonikis, who thought that Hunt's performance reflected a lack of interest after locking up a big deal at the Dragons next year.
“I’ll tell you something — this is my prediction — at the end of the season (Hunt) won’t be Broncos halfback,” Raudonikis said on Channel 9’s The Footy Show.
“He’ll get dropped before that. He’ll have a fall out with Wayne Bennett.
“All he’s doing is thinking about all that big money he’s getting and I don’t think he’s worth that money.”
While Hunt also copped some criticism online for some mistakes, the official game stats show that he set up a try, busted two tackles and made 282 off the back of 12 kicks.
And on the books, he racked up only one handling error and two missed tackles.
