Benny Elias Has Just Blown Up Deluxe About The Tigers

Speaking to the Triple M Sunday NRL team, former Tigers player Benny Elias has absolutely blown up about the state of the club, saying that it was the wrong decision to get rid of coach Jason Taylor. Listen to the full interview below.

"This has been the worst fortnight the club has faced as the Wests Tigers," Elias said.

"When you get rid of somebody, you've got to replace them with someone better.

"The board game him (Jason Taylor) their 100% guarantee and support in the last 18 months, and then two big losses and he's gone, see ya later.

"Meanwhile, Des Hasler has every facility available to him and he's probably spent twice as much as the Wests Tigers have.

"The Bulldogs have stood strong, and you've got to stay strong as a club and stick by big decisions that you make."

While Elias was bitterly disappointed about the situation over the last week and the club's performance of late, he said he was confident that Ivan Cleary would be capable of turning everything around.

"There's only one direction for Ivan, and that's up."
