As Brad Fittler's extended 40-man squad assembled in Sydney for a hard week of preparation for the World Cup and still many spots in the final squad on offer, 'Freddy' knew there was only one way to find out who really had the passion to play for Lebanon.

"It's very simple," Fittler said to his team.

"If you don't know the words to the anthem, you don't play.

"All these guys are very honoured and proud to represent Lebanon in the World Cup.

"But knowing the anthem is non-negotiable."

What ensued was a unified team belting out the anthem with pride and passion.

On Thursday night Fittler announced his 24-man squad to be captained by Rabbitohs hooker Robbie Farah.
